Very cute! Each color jar has a face. The texture is very pleasant and it sticks! The app is easy and most creatures have free “how to”videos. And the animation itself s so cute!! We love it!The only problem is that we don’t have green color.

This is a really fun activity. My 7 year old enjoys it because the directions with the app are easy to follow and the “clay” is soft (like crayola model magic foam-ish clay). She says the only tricky thing is to know how much clay to use when they say “a small amount” or “a large amount”. She’s getting the hang of it as she goes though. Her creations aren’t perfect but she finds it really satisfying to complete each animal. This was a Christmas gift. I don’t know why they have you rate “thickness” but it’s giftable as long as the person has access to and knows how to use a smartphone or iPad. It took me a minute to figure out where to enter the code that came with the kit into the app.

MY daughter received the birds and animals set for her birthday. So far she has just made the penguin (probably the easiest one) but it turned out so cute and she was able to do it herself. The app is great and she was able to follow it without difficulty. The clay is lightweight and sticks together well without sticking to everything else. She can’t wait to make another animal tomorrow. I would highly recommend these kits.

I loved it! Ordered Animals and Monsters kits. Each kit comes with 18 cans of different colors, that are very bright. You can use the fun interactive app (very simple & kid friendly) to make the figures or just your own imagination :) The best part is how light and NON-STICKY this clay is - no mess or sticky fingerprints haha. It is clay though and unlike playdoh you won't be able to reuse it later (it will harden) unless you put it back in the cans right away. Overall - great product for both kids and adults to encourage creativity and have some quality time making things as a family. I'd definitely recommend

Hey Clay is one of the best clay product for kids. We bought another type and it was all gooey . The container tub for Hey Clay is a tight fit and wont let the clay dry out like some other clays. I recommend Hey Clay highly !

It’s a great idea. My daughter likes it, but they require you to buy an app to get access to the digital instructions.

This is a staple in our “birthday closet” if you don’t have a birthday closet get one. Stock up on things your kids love so when you forget you have 10 birthday parties in one week you won’t be rushing prime shipping hoping things get here in time.

My husband wanted to get this for our seven year old and I was skeptical. You can buy a lot mod other clay sets for less and get more clay. What differentiates it though is the app. The app has step by step instructions given in a playful manner and the result is great. Even though my child followed the instructions, her final product was slightly different which it made it quirky and unique.I used the activation code for the wrong set - activated the bird set instead of the animal set which is what the clay set we have. I emailed the company and they fixed it right away. THAT is customer service!My kid wants to keep creating clay animals all day. Awesome gift!

This clay is fun to use, easy to clean up from and holds it shape

My 8 year-old granddaughter loves this product and has spent hours enjoying it. The clay is a good texture, doesn't bleed easily into other colors and does not stick to fabrics like regular modeling clay.

Grand daughter just loved it as she likes being creative and having fun being artistic.

I feel like kids always get super excited when they open a box of clay or playdoh and they see all the cool pictures on the box of the things they can make. Once the building begins though, they usually end up with piles of brownish clay that doesn't come close to resembling the pictures on the box.NOT WITH HEY CLAY!The app is AWESOME! It's so easy for even little kids to follow along, step by step, and create awesome looking creatures, just like the pictures on the box. My nephew had been duped by playdoh before, and he was dubious about my claims that he could do it himself. He begged me to help him build and continued to ask me to follow the steps for him, but as I continued to encourage him to do it, he became more emboldened. Most of the steps follow just a few simple shapes that repeat throughout the building process. After the first animal was done, with my assistance (and by god, that little pig looked better than anything I've ever built with playdoh before!), he went on to spend the entire day at the table building every last animal in the pack. On his own!He was so excited that his creations actually looked like animals and that he could do it by himself. The animals turned out so cute and impressive for a five-year-old! Hell, they were pretty impressive for most adults!The only negative I have is that the clay can start to dry out quickly while building and then it doesn't stick very well. We found we had to use another piece of clay as glue, at times. Other than that, the clay was soft and fun to use and didn't stick to your hands or the table!

My 6 year old son loves making these. He likes painting but not necessarily modeling clay. However, when you add the step by step instructions on the app/ iPad, I think he feels like he’s in a YouTube tutorial- haha. At least he’s actually using his motor skills and having fun. Getting these for the elementary kids in my life.

My 7yo is not easy to keep occupied or satisfied when it comes to household activities. This clay kit is fun, interactive, entertaining and keeps her happy for hours! Love the creativity and much better use of time than on a device.

Purchased this for my daughter’s birthday, and she loves it. The only problem is that the code inside the box which unlocks how to build the animals in the app was “invalid”. I really don’t want to have to pay $4.99 more for something I should already have access to, and haven’t heard back from Hey Clay customer service.

A gift for our grandchild and he loved it!

Nice product. With app gets more interesting

The included code would not work with the Hey Clay Animals app but the code does work with the general Hey Clay app. The seller and manufacturer both responded promptly when I contacted them after discovering that the code did not work with the Hey Clay Animals app.
