POOP OOPS

Our grandkids ages 5 and 7 had fun with this clay.The app wasn't super user friendly, but after a little time, we were able to get it to work and use the instructions on the app. One child just used their imagination, one kid used online instructions.

My 5 year old is into all things yucky right now. This clay kit has provided endless giggles, and he's more into crafting than ever! There's plenty of clay included and the texture is great. The app is also absolutely amazing. The animations/sounds are really engaging, and the instructions are very visual and easy to follow. LOVE it - 11/10!

The hey clay kit is not the best, for one it cost a lot of money, and for that much you don’t get a lot of clay. Although I do want to say that the clay itself is very high-quality. Everything is based on the app, and maybe I just read the description wrong. But I thought that when you build the clay, you hold the app camera over the clay, and it starts to move. This is not the case. the app itself just gives you step-by-step directions on how to build the creatures for each package that you purchase. Also, within the app you can only build a very small few of free creatures and afterwards you have to pay for the rest. I just think after paying so much for the clay already. I don’t wanna have to then again have to pay within their app.ProThe clay is very high-quality.The directions on the app are easy to understandConsAlmost everything on the app itself cost money to use.The characters do not come alive after you built them

My soon to be first grader has never had more fun with a modeling clay! The app to help instruct on how to make the characters is super easy to follow and fun to use. It helps to flex fine motor skills and spur creativity. Even if the characters are super gross haha

This set of molding clay is cute and easy to use. Several small pots of very vibrant colors. We did not mess with trying to use the app. My kids just made their own funny monsters. The clay is easier to use than standard old school clay. Not sticky or crumbly. The pots are pretty small, so the box was pretty much a one time use for 2 kids. After they made their monsters, they left them out to dry overnight and the texture was a pleasant foam type feeling. The ball even bounced. This would be a nice gift, I wish there was more molding product, and I wish the packaging was more eco-friendly. That's a lot of small plastic pots for our use.

My 9-year-old son was pretty excited to get this Fat Brain Toys Hey Clay Kit. He thinks the name of this set and the gross characters are hilarious. He enjoys sculpting with clay, and he really had fun making all the characters and telling me about them. There are some facts available in the app. He's even thought up some additional gross characters.It took two long play sessions, and he has some clay left over. The air dry clay is easy to work with, and the visual instructions are fairly easy to follow. This uses basic techniques like rolling balls and snakes and shaping.Some other reviewers mention having to pay to extra in the app. It might be easy to miss, but when you scan the QR code, it shows a secret code. When you go to a locked character and login in, then you can enter that code or scan the QR code again to unlock all the characters shown on the box. So, you get all the instructions for this set included. There are quite a few free ones available in the app from other sets, but there are also some that require payment to unlock. I think just seeing them could be inspiring to figure out how to make them, so I don't mind the set up and would definitely recommend this if you don't mind potty humor.

Just a box of clay! No directions inside box. Requires an app with log in and subscription! Not for kids.

This is a Christmas gift for our grandson. However, he builds things with this clay at school and loves it.

kids had fun making these clay model structure! it even came with a little booklet to help you create the same things especially if you're not as creative. they're very cute and easy to clean up after since they all dry up!

This clay is awesome! There’s no mess, it’s easy to sculpt for the kids.The clay is soo soft. We didn’t use the app, we just sculpted whatever we wanted to and looked at the box. We still have some left over after making 10+ things. I feel like it was worth the money (:

My daughter is of the age where all things bodily functions are amusing and hilarious. Plus, she's very creative and loves to craft with clay. Win-win!

Hilarious and fun! The clay is easy to work with; its so light & fluffy. The app makes it super interactive. Great for kids or adults who just want to be silly or probably even grumpy teens who don't like anything. Follow the instructions because the color it requires corresponds to its function. I ended up with green sweat because I wanted choose my own colors for the build.

My son loves these. He didn't use them to make the charters suggested but made some other really great figures. He spent a great deal of time creating with this and asked for more. I feel like it's a good amount for the price.

How else can you make art even more fun for kids? Somehow make it about cute poop! I think instructions aren't necessary for the most part. Kids 7 and up will have no trouble just looking at the picture on the box and mimicking it. Kids younger than that will find the videos helpful. The clay is soft and comes in bright colors. The "characters" on the box have a cute engaging look. This was a one and done toy for us, but it was still fun and was great for 1-2 hours.

The whole poop motif for this clay kit is.. I'm not really sure what to make of it, but the kids absolutely loved it, so what does it matter what I think! There were so many colors of the poop rainbow in this kit and it was really kind of funny and fun as the kids ran around and made various poop jokes, so call it a 5 star experience ;)

This is an air-dry clay kit that combines an adorable art style with tubs of a light, fluffy clay that's pleasant to work with (more like sculpting with foam than with a heavy, dense clay) and a specialty mobile app with detailed instructions for creating all the critters pictured in the kit. I first encountered and desired an ocean creatures Hey Clay kit in a museum gift shop in New Zealand, and was delighted once we returned home to discover my partner had bought it and snuck it home for me as a present. I had a ton of fun sculpting the critters, so when other kits came up for review I was thrilled.I'm pleased to be able to say that this Poop Oops kit is just as good as the other one I previously owned! The Hey Clay art style is distinctive and endearing - they definitely have a house style, so if you buy multiple kits of theirs, you can enjoy a cohesive set of projects on your shelf as you sculpt them. The Poop Oops critters are a bit more avant garde than the dinosaurs or ocean critters, but if your kid is a big poop emoji fan (as I know many are), this set could be a big hit.This would make a great gift for any young gross-stuff enthusiast. The 6 and up age range would work with adult assistance, but I think I'd recommend it as best for maybe 8 and up, as while the instructions are clear, they are somewhat detailed to follow and require fairly fine motor control, similar to a medium-difficulty Lego set.I do note that one review mentions having to pay for the designs in the app, but they might have missed an element of their kit. The kit comes with a QR code that unlocks all the character designs for your kit in the app, so you shouldn't have to pay for any of the Poop Oops critters. Don't toss out that sheet! (If you want to make other creatures in the app, you can buy those individually rather than springing for the full kit if you prefer, but no other purchase should be required to make the included models.)Cute critters, great set, classic play at a fair price. I'm a big fan.

My 11 year old daughter gleefully yelled "5 staaaaaaars!!!!!!" after her first evening working on these little clay critters. So, 5 stars it is. But there are some things to note.This only works with iOS and Android. My daughter does not have a phone, but she does have a Kindle Fire and a Windows laptop - and neither of her devices could get the app. This is a major bummer and I do not understand why this couldn't run on Windows or even just have it hosted on their website. We have to give up one of our smartphones for her to be able to work on her clay and that's not always convenient.The instructions on the app are easy to follow and my daughter has not needed our help on the 4 that she has completed so far. She did mention she was having trouble with "Fart" because the app doesn't give them a scale of how much clay to use for each piece and she was running out before finishing the character and needing to restart. It was frustrating for her and she ended up giving up on that one for the time being and said she'll come back to it later.The clay is easy to work with and starts to dry pretty quickly. As an air dry clay, it's light and fluffy and is very lightweight when finished. The colors are super vibrant and the characters are well designed and really have a lot of, well, character. We all love them and are trying to figure out the best place to display them.

This was a hit for my nephews birthday gift. My toddler even loved it. They had such a good time playing and making poops with this.

The app is free but if you want to make all the figures included in the set you will have to upgrade and pay roughly $10 for the plan to access all the instructions. I don't mind paying but I don't like being misled. The description should state that you get the instructions for certain figures and need to pay a fee to access the rest. I refused to pay because I wasn't made aware of this extra charge so my granddaughter made her figures based on pictures. Included are 16 small containers of clay. The clay is lightweight, doesn’t stick to your fingers, is soft, and is easy to manipulate. The figures are cute and my granddaughter enjoyed making them. The app does show you how to make the figures with 3D demonstrations. These are easy to make and your child can do it just by looking at the design. The clay is non-toxic, dries, and gets hard when left out for 24 to 48 hours. You also get two plastic sculpting tools.
